Having made a connection with a student looking for instruction on familiarizing herself with her new (to her) Catalina 36 sailboat, I learned that she also needed help with the delivery. We were thrilled to be able to help her out and get the vessel moved from San Pedro to Chula Vista. I arranged for my long time friend and crew Michael Brown to assist with the Transit. Special thanks to my daughter Miranda to help with the ground transportation on getting us to San Pedro. We departed on a Thursday morning and moored overnight in Dana Point. Then left Dana at first light and made it to the Chula Vista marina during day light hours. I then spent the next morning with the new boat owner giving her a systems orientation and some instruction on how to use her boat. All feedback and indications lead me to believe she was pleased with our services. I look forward to working with this customer again continuing her sailing lessons.
